Rate and Write a Review Made famous as the bar in the River Phoenix movie 'Dog Fight,' the Nite Lite has attracted a loyal following of working class adults, hipsters and other Belltown locals for its stiff drinks and low-key setting. There's bound to be a handful of patrons with glass-in-hand no matter when you drop by, and if it's a busy night downtown or there's a concert next door at the Moore, you'll be hard pressed to sit down no matter how long you stay. Green vinyl padded walls and a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge help this lounge rise above the general dive-bar masses, while abundant icicle lights and mirrors add credibility to its name. Their jukebox selection is one of the best in the city, and it never seems to go more than half an hour before sending out a Johnny Cash track. Even if you aren't a fan of the Man in Black, you won't be able to deny his appeal among the well-worn setting.
